            The book Every Day, by David Levithan is about a soul that switches bodies every day.  The souls name is A.  A makes no long lasting relationships from day to day.  Until one day A meets a girl that changes his life.  This girl, Rihannon changes A’s perspective on the life, friendship and happiness its self.  

            Once A meets Rihannon he begins to re-examen his views on the world.  For example, he knows that being with her will not be easy, and that he may end up far away from her one day, yet he cannot resist.  Each day A wakes up looking forward to being with her.  A has made it very clear that this is the first time he has ever felt this way about another person.  A is highly aware that this might not end up the way he would like it to, yet the way Rihannon makes him feel is too powerful for him to ignore and he must take action on it.  This is how love has affected A’s life in a big way, A now has someone that he cares for greatly.  He has never felt any other love him for him, and Rihannon’s love for him encourages him to keep pursuing her despite the risks.  

            Although the odds are not in their favor A keeps trying.  A is very persistent and will do anything for love.  For example he says, “I should not have come…  I should go.  But I can’t. I am with her.”  This proves that A is aware of the risks, but is willing to take them as long as he can pursue his love.  The way love has changed A’s life was giving him something to look forward to and treasure.  He floats from life to life wishing he could be with Rihannon.  Rihannon has also given something to remember.  In the book A says he must forget the body he was in the previous day because he will start to forget who he is.  Yet, after 16 years of forgetting, he remembers Rihnannon day after day.  This is because she has become a part of who A is.  

It is suffice to say that the way love changes a person can affect the way they live life.  It can allow you to see the world in a new way.  Love can change people forever.  It will push most to be the best they can and always fight for it.  A is a very good example of this.  A and many others look forward to waking up in the world with those that they love.
