Authours Note:
This book was written to show how greatly a small act of kindness can be appreciated. It is impossible to know what one individual is going through and a helpful stranger may give them a glimpse of happiness and change their perspective on the terrible things that go on in the world. This was based of of my social awareness project where i interviewed Ssisi Land, who is friendly to whomever she meets and is willing to help anyone.
Throughout the book the bald eagle helps all the forest animals with their troubles, but they do not show their appreciation for her deeds. When she decides to move to a kinder forest the animals decide they do not want to lose such a kind soul. They offer her food, a better shelter and a better way to navigate her way through the forest.
The reason I chose the bald eagle was due to the fact that they can seem very intimidating but things are not always what they seem. Bald eagles are mean creatures but not everything must be so stereotypical. The bald eagle ends up showing all the forest animals how different she is.
The forest I chose to base my story off of is called the Black Forest in Germany. Just the name of the forest sounds friendly, but the eagle helps to brighten it and change the forest for all the animals.
